Rosalie Varda
Since 2024, Rosalie Varda has been managing the production company Feet Films, while also overseeing the family-owned company Ciné-Tamaris, which has been distributing the films of Agnès Varda and Jacques Demy since 2008.
Previously a costume designer, she worked with notable filmmakers such as Samuel Fuller, Jean-Luc Godard, Agnès Varda, and Jacques Demy.
In theater and opera, she collaborated with directors like Yves Robert, Bruno Bayen, Alain Françon, Jean-Claude Auvray, Robert Fortune, Karine Saporta, and Antoine Bourseiller, contributing to more than 30 operas and over 10 feature films during a 25-year career.
From 2001 to 2019, she worked as a collaborator with the Cannes Film Festival.
She produced the film Visages Villages, co-directed by Agnès Varda and the artist JR, which was presented out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017 and received nominations at both the César Awards and the Oscars for Best Documentary.
In 2023, she co-produced the film Tehachapi, directed by JR, and Viva Varda, directed by Pierre-Henri Gibert. She also served as executive producer for Chambre 999, directed by Lubna Playoust.
In 2024, Ciné-Tamaris co-produced a documentary on Jacques Demy titled Le Rose et le Noir, directed by Florence Platarets and Frédéric Bonnaud, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Palme d'Or win for The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
Alongside her work at Ciné-Tamaris, she serves as a senior advisor for mk2 films, where she aims to help bring classic films to new generations of cinephiles.
She is a board member of the Cannes Film Festival, a member of the Jean Vigo Prize Association, and a board member of the Nouvelles Vagues Film Festival.
Valentin Vignet
Since 2011, Valentin Vignet has been managing Feet Films.
Based in Paris, Valentin Vignet produces commercials and films, and he is also a cinematographer.
After studying in France and China, he graduated in 2011 from the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles.
In 2017, he served as Director of Photography on Agnès Varda and JR's film Faces Places, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2017.
In 2020, the short film Nefta Football Club, directed by Yves Piat, for which he was also the cinematographer, was nominated for an Oscar.
He has worked as a lighting director on over a hundred commercials, music videos, and fiction projects.
Most recently, he was the Director of Photography on the documentary For Love, directed by Matt Smiley and narrated by Shania Twain, which has been streaming on Netflix Canada since September.
Valentin Vignet has just completed work on the official documentary of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games, directed by Lu Chuan, for which he produced the European and American segments.
